Chapter 774: I'm Here to Overturn the Case for the Dyer Family The room was filled with shouting and chaos as members of the family argued and took turns stepping forward. Yet, not one of them dared to act.
Tina, growing increasingly annoyed by the noise, raised her hand slightly. Seizing the moment as the three individuals switched positions, Cole rushed forward, grabbed a random man by the collar, and dragged him to the front. "Keep yelling, and I'll kill him!" he roared. "You... you..." Diana, who had initially assumed they were law enforcement officers investigating the case, froze in shock at Cole's sudden aggression-it was entirely outside the bounds of what she had expected.
The two younger men standing nearby stiffened, their movements awkward and hesitant. Ozan Bailey, trembling, pointed a shaky finger at Tina. "What... what do you want?" Tina's eyes glimmered with disdain. "We're here to overturn the case for the Dyer family." "Impossible!" Diana snapped, her voice sharp and unyielding. "The Dyer family deserved their downfall! They ruined lives. They should have been wiped out entirely-bones shattered, ashes scattered! Overturn their case? Don't even think about it!" Jared spoke calmly but firmly. "We're not here to negotiate with you." "What... what?" Ozan Bailey stammered, his murky eyes locking onto Jared's piercing, hawk-like gaze, which was as cold as it was deadly. A terrible sense of foreboding grew within him. Could it be... they knew his son wasn't dead? Tina's patience waned as she rubbed her ear. "I'll give you two choices. Either you cwith us to Ashbury willingly and retract your previous testimony, or I'll drag you there myself. Whether you get hurt in the process... isn't my concern." She tilted her head slightly. "Think it over." Diana's defiance flared again. "The Dyer family's medicine couldn't possibly have been safe! My son is dead, and now you wantto give false testimony for murderers?!" "How much did the Dyer family pay you to stoop this low? To betray your conscience like this?!" Tina let out a faint chuckle, her eyes cold. "I take it you're not planning to go willingly." Jared tapped twice on the watch strapped to his wrist. Immediately, a group of figures leaped out from the shadows, emerging from the bushes. Young men dressed in tactical gear stormed the Bailey estate, their gazes sharp and menacing. Ozan Bailey, who had moments earlier appeared timid and hesitant, suddenly straightened his hunched frame. His eyes grew cold, and his frail body radiated a surprising intensity. "You think you can takedown with just this rabble? Ridiculous!" Cole couldn't hide his surprise. "What the-he's really part of the Bailey family! Who knew they'd stick one of their own out in the middle of nowhere like this?" Tina said nothing, exchanging a glance with Jared. The moment Ozan Bailey made his move, they rushed forward in unison.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"How... how is this possible?!" Ozan Bailey gasped after colliding with Tina in a single strike. The overwhelming power radiating from her left him stunned. Her strength far surpassed anything he had achieved, even in his prime. "What kind of people are you?!" he demanded, his voice trembling. "You're from a hidden family, aren't you? Who sent you?!" Tina smirked. "You don't deserve to know." Her attacks grew increasingly sharp and merciless, each move targeting Ozan Bailey's vital points with deadly precision.
Jared, though not trained in martial arts, possessed physical strength far beyond that of an ordinary person. His movements were calculated and efficient, perfectly synchronized with Tina's. Ozan Bailey, already weakened by age and years of rural complacency, found himself completely outmatched.
He had never been particularly gifted, and against Tina and Jared, he had no chance.
Jared's relentless strikes forced Ozan Bailey into a corner. "Tina, now's your chance!" "Damn it!" Ozan Bailey tried to evade, but Tina closed the gap in an instant. Her palm struck his chest with crushing force. He let out a furious roar before his body was sent flying like a withered leaf, crashing heavily to the ground. At the stime, the rest of the team swiftly subdued Diana and the other two middle-aged individuals.
Tina pulled a small vial from her pocket and handed it to Cole. "Make them take this. Then call Hayden. We're heading back to Ashbury tonight." "You can forget it!" Diana screeched, her voice piercing. "Even if you kill me, I'll never retract my testimony!" Cole, irritated by her incessant shouting, kicked her hard in the stomach.
Tina grabbed the unconscious Ozan Bailey by the collar and addressed the rest. "This pill is called Gut-Rot Elixir. If you don't take the antidote daily, your body will begin to rot from the inside out, starting with your intestines. It'll eat you alive, leaving nothing but a pool of blood." Watching Diana's face turn pale, Tina laughed softly. "So save your strength. Don't waste your tresisting." "Cole, stay here and keep an eye on them," she ordered before turning to Jared. "Uncle, let's go inside. I want to see what they're hiding." At the Bailey Estate.
Ella Bailey entered the estate with Kelly and Luke Gill after reaching an agreement. The three of them made their way into the main hall, where two black ebony boxes sat in front of Victor.
Rain poured heavily outside, and the boxes were covered in mud and grime, dripping dirty yellow and black water onto the clean floor.

Sensing the old man's suspicion, Luke Gill smiled and guided Ella to a seat at the right-hand side of the room. "Ella found the court summons the Dyer family sent me, so I had no choice but to explain everything to her. What would the Dyer family want with you?" Victor asked, his tone casual. Thanks to Luke's cultivated image as a dutiful son-in-law, Victor didn't question him further and instead focused on what Luke had to say next. "Elsa probably wants to prove her father-in-law's innocence," Luke replied with a faint smile. "She must've sent court summons to Mrs. Ogden and the others as well."
e/ard Kelly couldn't help but laugh. "Has Elsa completely lost her mind? It's been over a decade, and she's still trying to overturn the Dyer family's case? How pathetic!" Victor scoffed. "It seems she's desperate. She's using this as a last-ditch effort to distract everyone." He shook his head, visibly pleased with himself.
Ella, feeling ignored, repeated her question. "Dad, you still haven't told me-what's in those boxes?"
Victor glanced at her briefly before replying, "Those contain the ashes of at Elsa's parents. That wretched gim nmay not care about her in-laws' reputation, but she'll undoubtedly care about her own parents." Ella's heart sank, her blood running cold.
"What... what are you planning to do?" Victor's cruelty stunned her. The Dyer parents had committed suicide due to his schemes years ago, and now he had gone so far as to dig up their ashes.
Did he have no fear of retribution?
