Chapter 1310
Hope struggled with all her might, but being so small, she was held firmly by the staff. No matter how much she
kicked, her feet didn't reach the ground. She could only watch as Nina and Nash walked away with Orion, leaving
her behind. Though they had finally sent Hope away, Nina and Nash still felt a lingering unease.
"It's over now. Try not to dwell on it. How about smusic to help us relax?” Nash suggested, breaking the
silence.
Nina nodded. "Play anything."
As Nash inserted the car key, the dashboard screen flickered to life. Instead of music, an image of a masked man

"Who are you?" Nash's expression turned icy.
It was clear this man was somehow tied to Hope.
The masked man didn't respond right away. Instead, he laughed for a moment before speaking. "Nash, | thought
you had two kids. So why is there only one in the car? Is it that you didn't want to bring the other one, or perhaps
you just can't? "Sure, you've got plenty of skills, but resurrecting the dead isn't one of them, is it?"
Nash immediately understood the implication, his gaze growing even colder. "You're the one who sent Hope to
us."
It wasn't a question. He had suspected from the start that someone was pulling the strings. There was no way a
young child fike Hope could have managed to obtain such a lethal substance on her own.
The masked man didn't confirm or deny. Instead, he taunted Nash further, "If you want answers, then cfind
out for yourself. Let's see who's quicker. You or me."
With that, the screen suddenly went black, then flickered back to normal as if nothing had happened.
Nina's face was grim. "We just dropped Hope off at the embassy, and he already knew. Plus, he hacked into our
car. Whoever this is, he's no ordinary person."
For someone to use a child to poison others, they had to be extremely ruthless. She couldn't think of anyone
they had wronged badly enough to provoke this.

With Orion in the car, Nash didn't
want to go into too much detail. "Nina, I'll take you and the kids hnow. Even with Mrs. Watson around, one
of us should always be close by, especially with Gemma. We can't take any chances."
At least Orion was old enough to know basic safety and to seek help in an emergency. But it was different for
Gemma. She couldn't even talk yet, and most of her day was spent asleep. If anyone wanted to harm her, it
would be far too easy.
Nina nodded. “Once we're back, let's set up cameras around the house, particularly in Gemma's room and near
her crib. We should take every precaution." "Mom, Dad, who was that man? He didn't look like a good person. |
really didn't like him," Orion added, frowning.
Kids often had the sharpest instincts. The moment Orion saw that man, he felt as if a poisonous snake had fixed
its gaze on him, sending chills down his spine. And the things that man said were so disturbing.
